Memorial Day Ceremony

Although the parade was canceled due to rain, that didnt stop the local veterans of foreign wars and their commander Jim MacArthur from honoring the fallen this Memorial Day. Color guard was the Scouts of America, with one scout playing Taps during a somber and special moment. Speakers said prayers, read poems and talked about the importance and significance of this day. A gun salute in the center was the conclusion of the ceremony, while the Ancram Fire Company provided food and refreshments.
