| Members of the Ancram Fire Company trained in the rain going over the importance of accident extrication. All manner of tools and techniques were used to train our members how to remove a person from a bad situation. Use of airbags were tested and demonstrated for use on raising and moving a vehicle, cutters and spreaders were used to remove doors and roof, and a ram was used for moving the dashboard of a car away from the front seats. We always encourage everyone to drive safe, obey traffic speeds and wear your seatbelt but rest assured that we will be there in the event of an accident, and if you've ever wanted to help your community and this is of interest to you please contact us or review our recruitment tab to see how you can help your neighbors. |
