A controlled burn was extinguished sunday afternoon around the intersection of Hall Hill Road and Cottontail Road. Please remember that Columbia County is still under a burn ban until the end of the month. 79-66 and 79-31 were on scene to spray water on the burn pile and surrounding area, as the dead grass and leaves are still very dry and winds are quite strong making it very bad conditions for brush fires.
