Brush Fire on Doodletown Road

At approximately 1pm, members of the Ancram Fire Company were dispatched to a brush fire on Doodletown Road. A fast response from members who had discovered it, were able to contain the fast moving flames. A homeowner was burning brush and debris that spread up the nearby hill. New York State is still in a burn ban till May 14th. Please refrain from burning anything during this dry breezy weather. 79-66 attacked the fire from multiple angles while 79-31 and 79-30 supported with water. 79-70 and 79-60 were on scene as well as chiefs, Community Rescue and New York State Environmental Conservation Police Officers.
