FLOOD WARNING – COLUMBIA COUNTY Heavy rainfall is causing rising water levels, flooded roadways, and hazardous travel conditions throughout Columbia County. For your safety: • Stay home unless travel is absolutely necessary. • Never drive through flooded roadways. Just a few inches of moving water can sweep a vehicle away, and it's impossible to know if the road beneath has been washed out. • Keep children and pets away from creeks, streams, and fast-moving water. • Monitor local weather alerts and emergency notifications. • If you encounter flooded roads, turn around and find an alternate route. Our volunteer responders are actively monitoring conditions and responding to emergencies. Help keep them available for those who truly need assistance by avoiding unnecessary travel.
