Travel conditions became unsafe Tuesday afternoon when a large amount of heavy rain moved through the area. A portion of State Route 82 between Decker Road and Doodletown Road flooded because of a clogged drain. State workers were on sceen along with State Police to help slow traffic, fire units were dispatched to help clear the obstruction and direct traffic. Utilizing a charges hoseline, the water was sprayed into the outlet clearing the debris and freeing the drain. The water receded and the road was reopened around 17:30.
