Members of the Ancram Fire Company came together Tuesday night to practice some basic and important operations during a fire. Moving hose through an area can be a challenge, practicing teamwork and coordination can make quick and effective work getting water streams into position to suppress fire. Ladder raising is essential for life safety when attempting a rescue or creating an alternative exit for teams inside, but for whatever reason, ladders have specific and important ways to be practiced to make it safe for those about to use it.
