Propane Leak at Long Lake

Residents of Long Lake on Arcadia Dr. Reported smelling propane leaks in the residents and immediate area. Ancram Fire Company responded with 79-20 and 79-31. Firefighters using gas meters and breathing apparatus, confirmed that levels were below dangerous but confirmed that tanks in the area were empty and discovered that most of the tanks in the community were close to empty resulting the smells and lose of propane to multiple homes throughout the community. Crews checked over a dozen homes and notifying residents. Ultimately the problem was resolved by a propane delivery company who filled and reset propane appliances in the homes.
