| At approximately 3pm on Friday afternoon, the Ancram Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to an automobile accident on Route 22. Reports indicated that the car traveling northbound had struck a tree between White House Crossing and Boston Corners Roads. Extrication was minimal for an injured passenger whose door was hard to open, driver was able to self extricate. Community Rescue Squad assisted in removing the passenger and transported both the driver to the hospital and the passenger to the landing zone for a med-flight. Units split operations from crash area and established a landing zone at the rest area just down the road. New York State Police were on sceen as well as Northern Dutchess Paramedics, a Dog Control Officer for an animal in the vehicle. After State Police investigation was concluded, units continued to direct traffic and assist the vehicle removal.
