Sunday morning was the members training on forcible entry and gas metering. Members were shown how to safely and effectively open a locked or jammed door using simple tools in the case of an emergency. Members also practiced using a lock picking kit on padlocks and door locks, if the need arises that something is locked but doesnt require forced entry with tools potentially damaging the locks, we can use this method. Once members had practiced forcible entry methods, discussions about our metering equipment and the detection of gases in an area was the next topic. Members were given our four gas meter that can detect and measure in parts per million different gases. Members searched a smaller room for readings and traces of gas. Thanks to all our volunteer members and the dedication that is involved with keeping the community safer, if this is something that you may be interested in.
